Gibson Reissues Historic 1959 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar

In 1959, Gibson added wider, fatter jumbo frets to its standard Les Paul guitar and forever changed the face of rock and blues music. The new fret construction allowed guitar greats Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield and Peter Green to create the dramatic bends that changed the sound of rock and blues in the 1960s. The limited edition Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Reissue "Aged" Electric Guitar faithfully recreates every aspect of that historic 1959 Les Paul Standard electric guitar.

The master luthiers at Gibson's Custom Shop have used a combination of traditional hand craftsmanship and modern technology to recreate the flawless playability and unsurpassed tone of the '59 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar. The handsomely-carved figured maple top, historic long-neck tenon with '59-spec neck pitch, and rare "aged" finish give this guitar the stunning good looks and warm, deep tone of a vintage original.
"I never made it as a rock star," says Jersey Boy Jerry of Tampa Bay; "but I've played with a lot of people who later became them. When I was 15 years old, I played a genuine '59 Les Paul. When I played the reissue 'aged' LP, it was the same. A real vintage model would cost more than my house, but the reissue model was well worth the cost!"

This is your opportunity to own the quintessential electric guitar that made music history. While supplies last, we'll include a free Gibson Custom Shop denim jacket and cream-colored pickguard signed by the legendary Les Paul himself.  For a limited time only, we're able to offer the incredible Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Reissue "Aged" Electric Guitar for an amazing savings of 37% off the list price.
